ABOUT THE JOB
If the necessary decisions are made, we are now looking for a temporary special teacher for the spring term of 2026.
Finnback School is a secondary school with approximately 420 students. We have 5-6 parallel classes and four working teams, one for each grade and one for our resource school. The working teams meet regularly for team meetings, professional development, and student health meetings. Here, teachers have the opportunity to meet regularly by subject in sector meetings, and we hold joint workplace meetings every month. We collaborate with the school's student health to ensure that our students feel good and safe at school. Together, we build for the future through cooperation, education, and new technology.
The position means that you will be the responsible special teacher for a working team/a grade and collaborate with teachers to create a good learning environment for our students. You will work both with individual support, group/class support, mapping, support for teachers regarding adaptations, and as an important cog in the student health work.
You will be part of a working team for consultation and planning. We document students' development in our communication tool Infomentor and communicate tasks and other information to students via Teams.
Since the autumn of 2024, we have been working with a schedule model called subject weeks. The model involves cohesive and concentrated work sessions, with one theoretical subject per week. Subject weeks enable different working methods, facilitate study visits, and reduce fragmentation of time for students and teachers. The hope is that the model will benefit all students and harness their desire to learn. The schedule includes practical-aesthetic subjects and language choices every week. This working method places higher demands on the teacher regarding variation but also provides much in return, especially in the relationship with students. Within the subject, teachers are expected to have close collegial cooperation where they plan and organize teaching together. During some concentrated weeks, we work thematically with, among other things, the school's guiding principles; together, health, and future.
Do you want to develop and help us build Finnback School further? Do you enjoy working with teenagers, as we do? Do you have a good ability to build relationships? Then Finnback School is the right school for you!
We work with language and knowledge-developing methods, so experience and education in this area are meritorious. If you have not previously worked with language and knowledge-developing methods, we offer internal training in the area.
